Worlds Oldest Panda Celebrates 37th Birthday and Sets Guinness World Record

500

On July 28th, a well-known and precious panda at Hong Kongs Ocean Park, Jia Jia, turned 37 years old and became a Guinness World Record holder for being the oldest captive panda ever! 37 years might not look like much but thats 111 in human years!

To mark the event, a particular giant cake was made from vegetables and ice. Unsurprisingly, but, the old granny stuck with what she adores and understands bamboo shoots. She just touched her ! that was gift

The previous record holder for earliest panda ever Dudu, in captivity, was created in 1962 and resided until 1999, reaching the ripe old age of 36 years. The typical lifespan of a giant panda is just 18-20 years in 30 in captivity and the wild, so Jia Jias landmarks and Dudu are remarkable, really!

Jia Jia only celebrated her 37th birthday (thats 111 in human years)!
